therapy

At Bloom Steps, therapy is a gentle journey. A safe space where you can explore your life path, embrace your inner experiences, and deepen your understanding of your “self”. Learning and growing up are natural parts of life, just like pains and sorrows, joy and happiness. While we can’t always choose our experiences, we can choose how we respond to them, both mentally and physically. When we step out of the labels we’ve placed on ourselves, we open up more space to grow.

Approach

Bloom Steps is rooted in three essential elements:
Heart reflects awareness of your emotions, needs, thoughts, and felt sense, along with compassion for yourself and others.
Footsteps reflect connection to reality, motion toward growth, and intentional action.
Home embodies a grounded sense of warmth, safety, and belonging within yourself.

B – Balance
L – Love
O – Open
O – Observe
M – Moment

This approach is grounded in person-centered and mindfulness-based principles, integrating process-based therapies such as Emotion-Focused Therapy, Focusing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy, with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Schema Therapy providing support when helpful.

I respect the uniqueness of every human being and try to understand each person as a whole — beyond any labels, diagnoses, or backgrounds — through deep listening, openness, and non-judgment.

  • distressed, depressed, down, or burdened

  • lonely, empty, hopeless, or lost
  • guilty, ashamed, or embarrassed
  • anxious or worried about others, performance or the future
  • uncertain or nervous

or simply anyone who wants to explore and develop themselves or find the meaning in life.

However, please note that I’m not skilful enough to work with people who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis (e.g. delusions, hallucinations, having confused and disturbed thoughts) and at serious risk of harm to themselves or others.

cost

  • first consultation (25 min, online) free of charge
  • private counseling session (60 min) € 90
  • no-show € 60

I offer a free initial consultation during our first meeting, as I understand how important it is for you to find a psychologist who feels like the right match. At the same time, it gives me a chance to see whether I can truly support what you’re looking for. If we both feel comfortable moving forward, we can then schedule our first therapy session.

  • There is a special rate for students.
  • I also offer free EFT sessions to 2 clients per month, on the condition that I have your permission to video record our sessions. The recordings will be used solely for supervision and study purposes. More information is available in Thai [here]. Dutch and international clients are also very welcome.
  • If your symptoms meet the criteria for a DSM diagnosis, I can offer sessions through the Basic Mental Healthcare (Basis GGZ) I work with. In this case, you will need a referral letter from your GP. This route allows you to receive reimbursement from your Dutch health insurer.
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a fee.
  • Please feel free to contact me for more information.
