therapy
At Bloom Steps, therapy is an art of the life journey. A safe space where you can explore your life path, embrace your inner experiences, and deepen your understanding of your “self”. Learning and growing up are natural parts of life, just like pains and sorrows, joy and happiness. While we can’t always choose our experiences, we can choose how we respond to them, both mentally and physically. When we step out of the labels we’ve placed on ourselves, we open up more space to grow.

Approach
Bloom Steps is rooted in three essential elements:
Heart reflects an awareness and a kind relationship with what’s inside (emotions, needs, thoughts, and felt sense) and what’s outside (other people, the environment, and activities).
Footsteps reflect a connection to reality, movement toward growth, intentional action, and an awareness of impermanence.
Home embodies a grounded sense of warmth, safety, and belonging within ourselves.
B – Balance
L – Love
O – Open
O – Observe
M – Moment
This approach is grounded in person-centered and mindfulness-based principles, and flexibly integrates Emotion-Focused Therapy, Focusing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Schema Therapy.
There is an essence of respecting the uniqueness of every human being and understanding each person as they are — beyond labels, diagnoses, race, gender, religion, or any other background — through compassion, deep listening, full openness, and non-judgment.

for
Anyone who is feeling
- distressed, depressed, down, or burdened
- stuck
- lonely, empty, hopeless, or lost
- guilty, ashamed, or embarrassed
- anxious or worried about others, performance or the future
- uncertain or nervous
- stressed, pressured or tense
- overwhelmed by self-criticism, self-blame, feeling not good enough or perfectionism
or simply anyone who wants to explore and develop themselves or find the meaning in life.

cost
- first consultation (25 min, online) free of charge
- private counseling session (60 min) € 90
- no-show € 60
I offer a free initial consultation during our first meeting, as I understand how important it is for you to find a psychologist who feels like the right match. At the same time, it gives me a chance to see whether I can truly support what you’re looking for. If we both feel comfortable moving forward, we can then schedule our first therapy session.
- Currently no waiting list.
- There is a special rate for students.
- If your symptoms meet the criteria for a DSM diagnosis, I can offer sessions through the Basic Mental Healthcare (Basis GGZ) I work with. In this case, you will need a referral letter from your GP. This route allows you to receive partial reimbursement from your Dutch health insurer.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a fee and to allow me to offer the space to other people.
- Please feel free to contact me for more information.
